For years Moussem has supported the path of choreographer Nacera Belaza. Born in Algeria, Nacera Belaza has lived in France since the age of five. After studying modern literature at the University of Reims, she founded her own company in 1989. She was named 'Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres' by the French Ministry of Culture in January 2015.
Nacera is invited at Moussem for the first time in 2011 for the Moussem Festival. In 2014 she takes part in the Dansdubbel project. That same year, she performs Le Trait during the Sufi Night, and works as Artist in residence on 2 new creations; La Traversée and Les Oiseaux. In the following years Moussem co-produces Sur le fil and Le Cercle.
