After studying literature, French Syrian theatre-maker Leyla-Claire Rabih worked for 10 years as a director of contemporary repertoire in Germany. In 2008 she settled in Dijon and founded her own company Grenier Neuf. With the support of Moussem, her new creation Chroniques d'une révolution orpheline premiered in March 2017. In this performance she incorporates three texts by the Syrian author Mohammad Al Attar. They each highlight a specific moment in Syria's recent history and give an insight into how the country fell from revolt to civil war. In a mix of play, images and video, this performance offers insight into the complexity of the Syrian conflict.
