Nabila Halim's autobiographical work, begun in 2014, explores a wide range of themes. Using a variety of media (photography, video, installation, etc.), her work deals with the body, its mechanics, its transformation, its place in physical or mental territories, and the place of women in public space and society. These concepts are developed in different contexts, oscillating between direct intimacy and metaphor. Her latest work focuses more specifically on her experience with migration. It is a world and concepts she develops in various contexts, oscillating between immediate intimacy and metaphorical displacement.
After a diverse academic and professional career, she attended the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art et de Design in Nancy, where she earned the Diplôme National Supérieur d'Expression Plastique (DNSEP) in Art in 2018.
Her work has been exhibited in Marseille (Art Explora 2024), La Relève IV, Centre Photographique (2022, Marseille), Les jours meilleurs, Galerie Poirel (2021, Nancy), United Artists (2020, Marrakech), and elsewhere. Nabila Halim is also a founding member of the Noss-Noss collective, which curates culinary, musical, and visual programs addressing collective issues of transculturality in cuisine, its history, and its sharing.
