Untitled (Sirens) is a participatory art project by Younes Baba-Ali as part of BXL UNIVERSEL II: multipli.city.
SIRENS is a participatory project; portrait of a policeman - Papa Jean Marie – learning and rehearsing jokes in the linguistic kaleidoscope of Brussels. He is getting ready for an intervention, a patrol, but this time with humor. The jokes are meant to be played by a police car, injecting a little humor into the city.
Simultaneously, the artist works with a group of youths from Brussels who imitate the sound of police sirens and their orders. He recorded these improvised vocal compositions, which thus become the vectors of a critique of power and authority.
